Southern pine forests dominate the landscape in the Tour Five area. Huge Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge also covers much of the land. Let's begin our tour at Crossett, a historic timber town, located at the junction of Ark. 133 and U.S. 82.
Visit the Old Crossett Company House, a "shotgun" mill house built before 1910. The Trieschmann House Bed and Breakfast has been beautifully restored, and several gift and collectible shops in downtown Crossett are worth the stop.
And be sure to take the kids to see the Crossland Zoo. It's one of only two licensed zoos in Arkansas.
Going north from Crossett on Ark. 133, next up is the quaint village of Fountain Hill, where the General Store, established in the 1800s, is a fun stop. Next, take U.S. 425 South to Hamburg, home of the Ashley County Museum and a charming town square.
